TRAILS FOR ALL ABILITIES
Aston Hill has a variety of trails from beginner to advanced. If it’s your first visit, you will be greeted by the fun and flowy pumptrack, which is a great place to warm up. From here, take the short pedal to the trail head and you’ll be at the start of all of the main trails. Cross country riders and those new to the sport can take on the 5 mile XC course (just the top loop for beginners). If you’re an enduro or downhill rider, Ricochet is a great way to ease into things, with flowing corners and rollable jumps at the top. For the experienced riders, the Black Run, Root Canal and Surface To Air will keep you smiling all day.
BLACK RUN
Originally built in 1997 and host to over 20 years of racing, the black run is one of the souths most challenging descents. Roots drops and even a rock garden.
ROOT CANAL
Built especially for the Southern Champs in 2009 this trail combines high speed with lots of roots and turns and steepens significantly as it drops down the hill.
RICOCHET
A high speed fun flowing trail with the beginner in mind. The trail starts off with a series of surfaced jumps, moving into a fast middle section and more technical ending.
RED RUN
The longest trail on the hill, the red run is perfectly suited to those looking for a more enduro style run with plenty of challenges along the way.
4X
Host to a round of the National 4x series in the early 2000's, the 4x track features fully rollable jumps that increase in size until the road gap and final 30ft table top.
PUMPTRACK
The newest addition to Aston Hill, the pump track is located just a short distance from the car park and has rollable features suitable for all abilities.
Surface To Air
Built in 2012 Surface To Air brings a small taste of Whistler to the Chilterns. Flowy and full of jumps top to bottom, this trail always delivers.
XC Loop
The XC Loop incorporates the Red Run downhill trail and is suitable for intermediate riders looking for a challenging 5 mile circuit with steep climbs.
